The upper is 100% leather, punched through with small perforations that move air across the foot. Under it sits a flexible non-slip sole that bends with the stride instead of fighting it.
Air moves both ways through those holes, so this is a shoe for offices, restaurants and dry pavement rather than for slush. On wet stone the sole holds instead of skating.
