Cotton corduroy shell over a dense sherpa pile. The wale is substantial, so the outside has real texture rather than a flat face, and the pile inside traps warm air against the body. Buttons clean to the collar. Four pockets, two at the chest and two at the sides where hands actually go.
Sherpa on its own is warm and reads scruffy. Corduroy on its own looks right and does nothing for the cold. One inside the other handles frost on a windshield.
