There is a kind of cold in November that is not sharp, just constant. This is for that.

A dense plush pile with a deep, springy surface. Pile works because the fibres stand up and hold warm air between them, so you get the heat of a much heavier coat without the weight of one. A full day out does not end with a sore neck. The pattern runs through the pile itself rather than sitting on top of it as a flat print. Wide armhole, relaxed body, so a heavy knit goes underneath.
