Our shoes fit true to size: take your usual US size. Between two sizes, or wearing them with thick socks? Take the half size up. Measure your foot from heel to longest toe while standing and compare with the foot length column.

The mornings have turned and the heavy coat is still too much.
Cropped length has a bad name it does not deserve. A jacket that ends at the hip cuts straight across the widest part of you. One that stops above it shows the narrowest part of the torso instead and lets the line of the leg run on, which is why it reads longer rather than shorter.
Woven from a wool blend, dense enough to keep the wind out and warm from the first minute, with no bulk through the shoulder. The warmth is in the cloth rather than in the length, which is why a short one keeps you as warm as you need through the shoulder months.
It runs true to size. Take your usual one, and it will still close over a knit.
Worn over trousers with a higher waist, over a longer top, or over a dress that a hip length jacket would have cut in the wrong place. From the middle of October until the heavy coat comes out, and again in April on the way back.
• Wool blend, woven dense so the wind stays out
• Cropped above the widest point, which lengthens the line rather than shortening it
• Warm without any bulk through the shoulder
• Sits over a longer top or a dress without cutting it
Sizes run from S to 3XL.
If you are between two sizes, take the larger one. Our cuts leave a little room through the shoulders and chest, so a layer fits underneath without pulling across the back.

Wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and dry flat. No tumble dryer, no wringing.
Wool and cashmere resist odour, so they need washing far less often than cotton. Airing a knit overnight is usually enough. Store knitwear folded rather than on a hanger, because it stretches at the shoulders under its own weight.
Where a garment carries its own care label, follow that label first.

Customers come back to the weight of the wool and the way these hold their shape through a winter. The most common note is on sizing: the cuts leave room to layer, so a few people take their usual size and a few size down.

Comments about Isabella | Cashmere High Neck Sweater
Warm at the neck and the wrists, which is where most knits give up. Runs a little roomy through the shoulders, so I could have taken the size down.

Comments about Double Faced Wool Cape Coat
Dense wool, holds its shape after washing. No pilling so far. I ordered one for my husband as well.

Comments about Wool Blend Longline Overcoat
The coat itself is good but it is longer than I pictured from the photograph. Check the length before you order.

Comments about Kennedy | Raglan Sleeve Crew Neck Sweater
Ordered in October and wore it all winter. It is the first thing I reach for on a cold morning.

Comments about Wool Blend Longline Overcoat
Too big. I took my normal size and it hangs off the shoulders, so I am sending it back for the size below.

Laurentide makes wool, cashmere and heavy knitwear for the six months that matter in Canada. The brand is built around a Montréal winter, where the cold is not an abstraction and clothing either works or it does not.
We choose fabric by weight and density, not by season. A knit has to hold up in November, in February, on the first morning the frost stays all day. That is the only test we apply.

Winter clothing is hard to judge from a photograph. Weight, drape, how a collar sits against the neck. You only really know once it is on and you are standing outside in it.
So take the time. If it is not right, send it back within 30 days of delivery and you get the full amount refunded. Questions beforehand: info@laurentide-ca.com.
Cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent, dry flat. No tumble dryer, no wringing. Wool resists odour, so airing a knit overnight is usually enough. Most garments need washing two or three times a season.
Once your order is confirmed you receive an email with your order number. The Track & Trace code follows by email within 1-24 hours.
We give a 30-day money-back guarantee. Return your order within 30 calendar days of receiving it and you get the full amount refunded to your original payment method.
